Description
This workshop is for those who wish to add service dog training to their existing program. It provides Continuing Education Units for various institutions and will provide you with the major elements you will need to successfully add service dog training to your list of services. This workshop does not focus on any specific disability or health concerns; it is a source that trainers will find helpful regardless of the type of service dogs they intend to train. Our workshop will, however, provide training on working with disabilities like post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury - as these are our program's specialties. We will introduce you to appropriate levels of skills proficiency, service dog program models, program development, case management and much more. Participants will be eligible for for the following CEU's: CCPDT 30 CEU's; KPA 30 CEU's; Peaceable Paws 30 CEU's; IAABC 36 CEU's; NADOI 36 CEU's. The Registration for this workshop includes Welcome Nosh, Daily Breakfast Snacks, Daily Lunch, Daily Shuttles to and from Hotel to Paws and Stripes and Shelter, Workshop Materials and workbook, CEU Certificate, hands on time with shelter dogs, and Workshop Dinner.
