Description

This is a 6-day intern academy held at Peaceable Paws, LLC. Think of this week as an introduction into understanding and evaluating studies and articles. You'll be assigned 20 articles and 5 studies to read and complete a questionnaire on each prior to the academy. The questions will help you evaluate each study and article. During the academy we will discuss each as a group. Exploring and experiencing advanced concepts of training and behavior – bring your own dog (preferably) or borrow a dog. Shaping; Scent Discrimination; Teaching the Bucket Game; Spelling; Operantly Condition an Established Response to a New Cue; Counter Condition or Condition a Husbandry Procedure; Match to Sample; Behavior Chains, etc.
