Description
The Person-Centered Dog Training program presents theories and techniques from the mental health and counseling world for application in the dog training world. Created and led by licensed counselor and reactive dog owner Jess Adam, PCDT illustrates evidence-based human-centered approaches tailored for use in training. The program teaches dog trainers how to: - Encourage client change and buy-in through connection - Utilize a strengths-based approach and "meet clients where they are" - Help clients cope with the emotional challenges their dogs bring up - Prevent and heal from professional burnout - Identify and embody values to create sustainability in their training business
