Description
One of the most common reasons why teams fail a therapy dog test is lack of teamwork. Sometimes, there is little communication between the handler and the dog. Some handlers make the mistake of letting the dog do all the work, while they don't participate at all. Remember, you are a team! It will take both of you doing your best to succeed. During visits, your dog will get all the attention, but you're working the most important end of the leash! it's your job to keep your dog safe and to ensure he is having a good time during visits. Your success will depend on your skills in assessing environments, the people you visit, and your canine partner's stress levels. Learn how you can take your team to the top levels of therapy visitation professionalism.
