In recent times of political turmoil, the term “narcissist” has become a buzz word. What is a narcissist? Are they a danger to you, your business, animals and their family members? Can you motivate a narcissist to take responsibility, and serve the needs of a companion animal given the entitlement that comes with the disorder? This webinar presents an overview of narcissism, the types, exploitive tactics you may face and what you can do about it. Understand why dog trainers, especially those in the force free community, are highly vulnerable to exploitation due to their high levels of empathy. Learn the difference between narcissistic traits, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and Psychopathy. No, you cannot diagnose, but you should take protective action if you suspect. Learn why a narcissist is like a blind person who does not know they cannot see. Learn how the narcissist wears a “mask” to reflect what you want to see. Understanding how the lack of empathy impacts all of their interactions, and why an appeal to empathy backfires. Learn the difference between cure, treatment, and why treatment can backfire.
