Description
Dogs struggling with aggressive behavior as well as many other behavior issues habitually make poor, fast-twitch decisions about their behavior when confronted with a threatening or scary stimulus. The consequences of this are too often a poor performance, surrender to a shelter, or even euthanasia for a dog. This 2-hour webinar examines how to transform this scenario by incorporating insights from the cutting-edge research being done on canine cognition. It focuses on how changing a dog's thinking patterns can help them find more appropriate ways of responding to triggers as well as practical strategies for helping your own (or your clients') dogs become slow, non-aroused thinkers. A slow-thinking program can help many different behavior issues and offers a wonderful cluster of cognitive habit that all dogs should develop. The webinar will feature examples and instructions for all the specific exercises and games.
