This course is to provide support for people looking for help for their dogs who display fearful, anxious, aggressive, atypical, or frustration based behaviors and are suitable for a group environment or for animal professionals that want to work on their own skills, demo dogs are available. Students will learn about operant and classical conditioning, learning theory, behavior modification, observable behaviors in dogs, etc. We will be working on developing handling skills to support redirecting and de-escalating our dogs and learn techniques conducive to supporting an introductory understanding of behavior modification.
