Description

You have a wonderful puppy that views you as their whole world. You did some training, socialized your puppy and spent time building your relationship. You have been doing everything right. Then, seemingly overnight, your puppy becomes an adolescent. They run off, they can’t listen to basic cues and they may even start to display reactive behaviour. Adolescence is a difficult developmental stage for dogs. Genetics and hormones are telling them to explore and disperse. They act before they think. Adolescent dogs are particularly vulnerable to stress. They may suddenly become fearful of things with no apparent explanation. This webinar explores the adolescent mind and explores games and socialization opportunities for optimal learning during this sensitive developmental period. Learning Objectives The adolescent brain and how stress effects it. The why and how of continued socialization. Management strategies for surviving adolescence. Games for building a confident and engaged adult.
