Description
I write a regular column on positive dog training for the Statesman Examiner newspaper. I am planning to offer the column to additional newspapers as well. This is for https://www.statesmanexaminer.com/. So far, columns have included an introduction to positive reinforcement training, and articles on the correct use of leashes and collars ("The Bonding Power of the Leash"), how to live with dogs, teaching your dogs good manners, housetraining your puppy, and food aggression, plus three more to be published soon. I am requesting CEUs for 11 publications. My aim is to educate the public, animal control, and even humane societies (whose volunteers were using prong and chain collars) about how to use positive reinforcement techniques. This form is not quite designed for publications, but I have received CPDT assurance it will work!
