Description
Building on last year’s discussion of behavioral rehabilitation of extremely fearful dogs, this talk delves into the groundbreaking work of the ASPCA’s Behavioral Rehabilitation Center (BRC). Meredith will explore the intensive program, designed to reduce fearful dogs’ anxiety, improve their well-being and ready them for adoptive homes. You will learn about the program’s evolution, research findings, and exciting innovations since opening its permanent rehab facility in North Carolina. Meredith will also offer ways to “scale up hope” so that you, too, can help vulnerable shelter dogs overcome fear to become adoptable pets.
