Description
Advanced Canine Training offers an innovative and in-depth study of canine training. Students will go far beyond designing a training plan by learning how to incorporate the principles of behavioral science to identify training goals as well as develop and evaluate assessment and treatment programs for dogs. The course will tackle difficult canine behavioral problems in a variety of situations and measure and evaluate behavior change across settings and time. Students will analyze case studies, learn how to manage dog-dog play interactions, and be introduced to a variety of specialized training and canine competition options. The course will also incorporate material on working with clients to maintain effective behavior change in their dogs with long-lasting results.
