Description
"Inter-cat aggression is the most common problem among owners with multi-cat households, which can also lead to devastating consequences such as injuries and or relinquishment. Research in the shelter environment confirms that inter-cat aggression is one of the most common reasons cats are relinquished to shelters. Fifty percent of the time a new cat is introduced into a household, fighting will occur. Many cat owners are familiar with a gradual familiarization process; however, often, these procedures don’t lead to a successful integration. In this presentation, I discuss clicker training as a valuable tool for facilitating positive interactions between unfamiliar cats. I will highlight two case studies where I installed training skills to help the client succeed at integrating their cats."
