Getting dogs safe off-leash time is something I am very passionate about. I’m lucky now to currently live in “dog paradise” in the remote mountains of British Columbia, but I also spent several years living in the middle of Manhattan. Both rural and urban environments present their challenges for off-leash time for dogs. In this webinar, we’ll learn about what some of those challenges may, as well as the “whens, whys and hows” of off-leash training. Topics include: when to start training; how to build a reliable off-leash recall (including whistle recall conditioning); the benefits of off-leash time for dog welfare; getting creative finding safe exercise spaces and what to do if you cannot; and training basic trail manners.
