Description

This short, on-demand course addresses the sensory needs of cats in shelters. Improving the behavioral health of felines can improve their quality of life, increase their placement options, and decrease their length of stay. Content: By the end of this course, you will be able to: • Consider the unique vision, hearing, touch, taste, and olfactory abilities of cats • Use enrichment and handling strategies that reduce stress and even aggression • Interact with cats in ways that support their behavioral health Content developed by ASPCA behavior, medical, and operations experts, including those who hold DVM, CAAB, and PhD certifications.
