This pre-recorded class supports skill development for recognizing and interpreting nonverbal nervous system cues in both humans and dogs. Behavior is the result of interactions between individuals and the environment. To interpret another being’s communication and to support behavior change from a trauma-informed lens, it is necessary to zoom in on the body and understand behavior from the level of the nervous system. When you can recognize the subtle signs of stress, anxiety, or overwhelm in both the human and the dog, you will be more proactive and effective in modifying the environment or the task to support improved outcomes.
