Description
This eight module course, delivered by Daniel Shaw MBPsS, CDBC is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the effects of trauma on dogs, including how it impacts their neurobiology, emotions, and cognitions. Daniel then expands on working with dogs that have experienced trauma, exploring how to create a trauma informed environment in a variety of settings, provides a brief overview of common psychopharmacological medications that may be prescribed for dogs that have post traumatic stress, and finally explores methods of helping victims of trauma reappraise the experience.
