Description
In this 6-week online course, we outline how handlers may go about the process of introducing Birch odor to their dogs within container and interior searches using the paired odor training technique. We highlight the need of making a positive association with this novel target odor, possible pitfalls to avoid, the importance of listening to the dog and granting them choice, while honing the handler's eye as far as what the dog is communicating as they are working the search area.
