Description

When introducing a horse to clicker training for the first time the horse will often appear uninterested in the food being offered. They may not attempt any behaviors and will sometimes just walk away from the trainer. This webinar examines the many reasons why a horse in a training situation may seem to lack interest in the food and/or training session and how best to motivate the horse and increase their interest in participating. Learning Objectives Understand why your horse may seem uninterested in food or training when starting out with a clicker training program. Recognize how to deal with internal conflict when beginning a horse training program. Understand the importance of matching the value of food to the difficulty of behavior being trained. Recognize which environmental factors may interfere with your training program.
