Description

It's definitional, right? Reinforcement is the process by which behavior is strengthened with contingent consequences. Wait a minute! What about reducing problem behaviors with differential reinforcement of alternative behaviors? Is non-contingent reinforcement even possible? When it comes to applying best training practices, even our most trusted definitions go a little bit sideways when we creatively implement the basic learning principles. In this presentation we will explore the role reinforcement can play in reducing problem behaviors, effectively and humanely.
