ABOUT- This workshop is for Professional Trainers, trainers working towards their professional certification, or trainers with kick-ass skills wanting to learn more. This workshop is not for the light of heart, it will be information packed, fast paced, and fun. Please come ready to learn, teach, and participate in conversations and activities. This workshop is a combination of lecture, observing Teams, participating in activities (hand-on), and equal exchange conversations on specific topics. Training is teaching, and teaching is sharing information, and information should be useful and sustainable, as in life skills. Working with the whole dog in an integrative approach is more than sit, down, stay and come. It is about the social, emotional, physical, and nutritional well being of each dog, because after all if a dog feels well they act well, and that is where good work can happen. From family pet owners to dog sport competitors, and everyone in between, it is important for an effective integrative trainer to be able to ask the right questions, listen to what is being said, adjust expectations, hone observational skills, teach without judgement, have a precise understanding of space (use of) & time (timing), share recommendations both verbally and written (clear). understand and trust your intuition, and have the needs of the dog and owner in sync.
